Health monitoring is provided to employees exposed to hazardous substances in the workplace to detect early changes to their health with the aim of preventing harm or disease due to exposure.
Health monitoring is completed due to legislative requirements, and may also be completed when there are workplace concerns about exposure. Our consultant occupational physicians and registrar have a thorough understanding of the health effects of hazardous substances, appropriate testing modality and the importance of medical counselling of workers. Recommendations are then provided to the employer for remedial action to prevent or reduce exposure. Health monitoring reports are provided to the regulator as part of the legislative requirements.
